Tungsten Carbide Composite Rod Description:

Tungsten carbide composite rods (welding rods) are ideal for protecting high-wear components of equipment in the oil and gas drilling, geothermal, mining, and geological exploration industries, including washover shoes, stabilizers, down-the-hole drill bits, reamers, drill rods & subs, etc.

KoneCarbide manufactures top and consistent quality tungsten carbide welding rods made from sintered tungsten carbide particles and high tensile alloy. The substrate of our welding rod is copper or nickel. The coating is used for coloring and identifying. The tungsten carbide welding electrode is applied by the oxyacetylene brazing method. For cutting purposes, tungsten carbide hardfacing welding rods with larger particles are needed; while for wear purposes, smaller particles should be the choice.
