Recycling Industry

Recycling is converting waste materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash into new products, according to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Recycling can reduce not only waste but also environmental pollution, such as air pollution, water pollution, etc. Not all waste materials are recyclable. Waste materials are recyclable only when their original properties can be reacquired. Recyclable materials cover wood, water, glass, metal, paper, plastic, cardboard, tires, textiles, electronics, and batteries.

Waste Wood

Waste wood is a precious resource that is largely produced by the construction and demolition sectors. When it is created, it will be stored in a skip first. Then, being delivered to a recovery factory to be sorted and recovered. Waste wood will be sorted into four grades: A, B, C, and D. Grade A refers to the “cleanest” waste wood and grade D is hazardous waste.

There are several choices for processing and recovering waste wood. To recycle large-scale waste wood, the wood grinder is the right workhorse. There are two types of wood grinders: tub grinder and horizontal grinder. Wood grinder teeth are essential wear parts of a wood grinder due to the constant direct contact with waste wood materials. They are more easily to wear.

KoneCarbide supplies wood grinder teeth for top brand wood grinders, such as Morbark®, W.H.O.®, FHE®, Duratech®, Vermeer®, Precision Husky®, Toro®, Olathe®, and more. The solid steel teeth body is coated with carbide coverage, enhancing wear resistance and efficiency. Whether you need grinder teeth for one bolt rotors or two bolt rotors, here is the right place for you!

Wastewater

Wastewater is generated every day after we use fresh water, drinking water, or other clean water in a variety of applications. Wastewater treatment, or sewage treatment, is a process specifically for converting wastewater into useful water by removing contaminants. The treated sewage can be reused for different purposes, such as irrigation, flushing toilets, washing cars, etc.

The wastewater is mostly treated in a place called a wastewater treatment plant. One of the most important devices applied to treat wastewater is the decanter centrifuge. A decanter centrifuge, or a solid bowl centrifuge, is used to separate continuously solid materials from liquids in the slurry. To be specific, a decanter centrifuge thickens and dewaters the sewage sludge.

Due to frequent contact with the sludge, wear parts for decanter centrifuges should be wear and corrosion resistant. KoneCarbide manufactures and supplies premium and consistent quality wear parts for decanter centrifuges, including tungsten carbide tiles, discharge nozzles, wear liners, etc. Various tungsten carbide grades are available for different applications.

KoneCarbide has been committed to supplying outperformed tungsten carbide wear parts for decanter centrifuges. If you are looking for reliable standard or custom spare parts for solid bowl centrifuges, you are at the right place!
