Carbide Buttons For Road Milling Teeth
Tungsten carbide tips or buttons play a vital role in the road milling process. Our carbide buttons for road milling teeth are made from micro-grain tungsten carbide and cobalt. Tungsten carbide determines the hardness and wear resistance of the milling teeth and cobalt bonds tungsten carbides together to guarantee the breaking strength and temperature resistance. The quality of carbide buttons directly influences the tool life and productivity. Therefore, KoneCarbide always strives to enhance our cutting technology to keep pace with more and more complex milling and cutting conditions.
KoneCarbide mainly offers two types of road milling tips: cap-shaped tips and valve-seat tips. Cap-shaped carbide buttons are general-purpose buttons that are suitable for 80% milling applications, especially for soft to medium-hard materials like soil and asphalt. Compared to cap-shaped carbide tips’ flat bottom, valve-seat carbide buttons have a valve-seat braze joint at the bottom for better strength. If you need cylindrical tips for concrete milling, please contact us. Customization services are also available.
